Description
Rustic Wood Floating Shelves – Add Character To Your Walls
Suitable for plasterboard walls.
You wont find much more British than our Rustic Pine Floating Shelves. We use pine that is grown in the UK and sourced from FSC or PEFC certified sawmills, and manufactured in our beautiful North Yorkshire workshop.
Our rustic shelves will be a talking point in your home. They are handcrafted to include distressed edges and exposed markings, giving them their authentic rustic look. Working with real, natural materials means that each piece that we create is unique, as the natural wood that we work with will display lines, cracks and knots from the tree.
All of our pine shelving is typically finished to a thickness of 50mm. However, please allow for a variation of +/- 5mm, due to being handcrafted.
These shelves have been specifically designed to be fitted to plasterboard walls. We will include Hafele concealed floating shelf supports and Gripit brown plasterboard fixing, the ultimate solution for fitting shelves to plasterboard walls of 9-15mm. These shelf supports are strong, adjustable, and innovative. All of these shelves will come with pre-drilled holes in the back of the shelves, to support with a simple installation.

Please note: pine is a natural product, therefore every piece will vary in appearance. The grain, colour, cracks and knots are what make our natural product unique. Our displayed colour samples are only guides, colours may appear slightly different due to the natural colours of the wood, the lighting and the type of screen you are looking at them on too. Dimensions stated are approximate only. Post machining, our dimensions are accurate to 1/2″. We will not accept any of the above as defects.
At Handcrafted Shelves, we have our own professional in-house finishing team. We only use the finest quality wax polishes and oils to ensure a top-notch finish every time.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee exact colour matches to existing furniture. Please use these colour samples as a guide only, as oak is a natural product colour variation can be expected.

We are a British owned company and all of our products are made-to-order right here in the UK.
Our aim is to have every order complete, packaged, and ready to be sent within one week of receiving the order. However, this can take longer during busy periods (such as Christmas), due to the nature of each product being handmade to order. Do not hesitate to contact us for further clarification on your expected delivery if you have strict deadlines to adhere to.
An additional delivery fee will be applied at checkout, to cover the cost of the expert care that goes into packaging and delivering each item. Every shelf will be subject to thorough quality checks before being securely packaged ready for delivery. We take the utmost care in packaging your shelf, using heavy duty custom-made packaging to protect your bespoke item from any damage that could occur during transit.
UK Mainland Orders: delivery will cost £10+VAT.
Scottish Highlands and Islands: delivery to these areas may cost more, the difference is automatically applied at the checkout.
Your shelf will be delivered by a courier. We always use a 24-hour delivery service, via DHL or DX, depending on whether you are ordering to mainland UK or the Scottish Highlands or Islands. As soon as we have arranged for your item to be delivered we will provide you with tracking information – you’ll know where your shelf is every step of the way. A signature will be required upon delivery, unless instructions are provided as to a safe place to deliver your item. If delivery is unsuccessful, your courier may try to leave your shelf with a neighbour. Delivery slots are usually between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm.
Unless stated otherwise, we will dispatch your order as soon as it is ready. However, if you require a specific delivery date or have a unique delivery request, please get in touch so that we can do our best to meet your requirements.
In order for you to be able to mount your shelf yourself, with little assistance, we provide comprehensive instructions with each delivery. Please see the guides provided below to further understand how each type of shelf can be fitted.
